Q&A
To reserve your wedding or event date(s) with Destination Beauty by Carrie, you can either email us at: info@destinationbeautybycarrie.com or call (320)492-2329. During the initial contact, we will discuss your wedding or event date(s) and the specific hair and makeup service(s) you are requesting. Once we confirm our availability, we will secure your date once upon receiving a 50% deposit, which will be applied towards all services.
We will accommodate early starts. But there is an early start fee with that. We understand that every bridal party is different. Please contact us at info@destinationbeautybycarrie.com to learn more!
Please contact us info@destinationbeautybycarrie.com to discuss your wedding or event details. We try to accommodate parties large and small.
When a bride books hair and makeup for her wedding, an “additional stylist fee” means there will be more than one professional working on the wedding party, and there’s an extra charge for bringing that additional stylist.
Why an Additional Stylist Might Be Needed
1. Large bridal party - If you have several bridesmaids, mothers, or others needing services, one stylist may not be able to complete everyone on time.
2. Tight timeline - If everyone needs to be ready early (e.g., for a morning ceremony), extra stylists help speed things up.
3. Multiple services at once - For example, one stylist focuses on hair while another does makeup.
4. Different locations or spaces - If services are happening in separate rooms or venues.
What the Fee Covers The additional stylist fee often accounts for:
• The second stylist’s time and labor
• Travel expenses
• Scheduling coordination
• Minimum service requirements
How It’s Different from Regular Service Pricing
• You’ll still pay per person for hair and/or makeup.
• The additional stylist fee is separate, it’s essentially a staffing fee to ensure everything runs smoothly and on schedule.
For example If you have:
• Bride + 6 bridesmaids
• Ceremony at 1:00 PM
• Everyone needs to be ready by 11:30 AM
One stylist might not be able to complete 7 people in time, so a second stylist is added and you will see an “additional stylist fee” on your contract.
Trial appointments are two-hour, one-on-one sessions where we take the time to create and refine the look you’ll be wearing on your wedding day. During the trial, we test products, adjust details to your preferences, and make sure you feel confident and comfortable with your final look. This is also when we go over wedding-day timelines, discuss logistics for you and your bridal party, and review the contract together so everything is clear and stress-free moving forward.
The administrative fee covers all of the behind-the-scenes work that goes into your wedding beyond the trial and wedding day itself. This includes writing and managing contracts, ongoing communication and coordination, timeline planning, and back-and-forth with you, your bridal party, photographers, planners, or other vendors as needed. Many weddings involve months of preparation and communication, and this fee ensures everything is organized, professional, and seamless leading up to your big day.
